Summer times
This simple and funny car is the Citröen Mehari, built between 1968 and 1988. Based in the Citröen Dyane 6, his body made in ABS plastic and soft top gave this vehicle a beach look, and soon the European coasts were a typical habitat for this car. Although his fragile appearance and light weight (less than 600kg!), two armies, the French (7.064 units) and Irish (12 units) used them. The number of Meharis produced was 144.953, and 13.284 of them were built in the spanish Citröen factory at Vigo between 1969 and 1981. I found this nice Mehari in the Mediterranean town of Calafell (Tarragona) last week, and his license plates tell me that was produced in 1884.
