Super-Man

This impressive truck was photoed at Erice de Iza, Navarra (Spain) nearly a year ago. Is a german MAN Kat I 4x4, a truck designed for the german armed forces. From 1976 to 1983 MAN built 8.634 units of the family Kat I for the german army, navy and air forces in 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8 versions.This german military surplus truck had a Zeppelin communications shelter.

Wheeled box!

This ugly square thing is an old moving truck based on a Mercedes light truck.His license plates are from 1985 and I found it last mont in Pamplona.

Black & white times

November 1956. This international KB truck went out of control in a bridge of Chicago city. Only the wood rail prevented it from a fatal end. Photo from spanish Garbo Magazine.

"Mack the knife"

During World War II, the Mack Truck Company of Allentown, PA, supplied more than 35,000 trucks to the Allied war effort. The all-wheel-drive 7 ½ ton Model NO saw extensive use transporting men, supplies, and large weapons, like 155mm guns. I took these photos in 2004 at Ste. Mere Eglise, France.

Keep on truckin'...

Since the beginning of the past siecle, the military movement was linked to the motor transport, and this to the big trucks. Although the most powerful images of an army are the tanks, here are a humble tribute to these workhorses of the logistics.

Globetrotter

Soon the Sanfermines will erupt here in Pamplona, and crowds of foreign visitors will come here to join the "fiesta". About fifteen years ago a group of south africans came to Pamplona in this Bedford truck, equipped as a "some-like-a-bus" including a trailer.

The Big Red One!

I took these two photos in 2004 at Málaga airport. This beautiful fire truck is an american International Loadstar, and then it was being restored. I hope now the public can enjoy it there in sunny Málaga!!
